Pao Pao Beach Club – Adults-Only Elegance in Isla Grande

Island Calm with a Side of Sophistication

Just 45 minutes by boat from Cartagena, Pao Pao draws you into a quieter, more mature side of the Rosario Islands. As the adults-only option from the Bora Bora group, it balances laid-back luxury with a refined vibe—perfect for guests seeking beach day comfort minus the chaos.

WHAT TO EXPECT

  • Two sandy beaches + freshwater pool — relax on sunbeds or by the pool, under parasols shielded from interruptions.
  • Stylish but calm social spaces where the music is playlist-curated—think balearic, deep house, Bossa Nova—never too loud.
  • Well-appointed facilities, including clean bathrooms, pool lounges, and modern comfort—all included in the day pass.

AMENITIES & FOOD

  • Welcome cocktail, sent out soon after you arrive via boat transfers from La Bodeguita pier.
  • Buffet-style lunch featuring Pao Pao Paella, Seafood Pasta, grilled fish or chicken, plus vegetarian options—ingredients are fresh, local, and thoughtfully prepared.
  • Sunbeds, loungers, VIP spaces like pergola and Jacuzzi beds—available for reservation to elevate your visit

WHO IT’S FOR

Adults only (18+). Ideal for those who want to:

  • Skip the party chaos but still enjoy a beautiful island day
  • Relax in style, with comfort and choice
  • Soak in birdlife, good food, and respectful music without overwhelm

LOCAL TIPS

  • Boat timing: boats usually depart around 8:00 am from La Bodeguita Pier #3, with a 7:30 am check-in. Return is around 3:00 pm, back in Cartagena by 4:00 pm.
  • Beachbed reservations recommended, especially weekends or high season—beds are added later, not included automatically.
  • Port fees and insurance are additional (around COP 31,500 / US$8), payable in cash onsite.

Pao Pao isn’t about being louder—it’s about being better. It’s a smart, well-curated island sanctuary for adults who value space, good food, and soft luxury. For a day at sea that feels curated without trying too hard, this is the kind of stop you’ll remember beyond the pictures.
